Who is Eligible for a Free Flu Jab?

You may be eligible if you belong to one of the following groups:

• Aged 18 to under 65 years in clinical risk groups such as:
  • Chronic respiratory conditions like asthma, COPD, or bronchitis
  • Chronic neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease
  • Weakened immune system due to disease or treatment (e.g., cancer)
  • Chronic heart, kidney, or liver disease
  • Morbid obesity (BMI 40+)
  • Learning disabilities
  • Diabetes or adrenal insufficiency
  • Splenic dysfunction or asplenia
• Aged 65 years and over
• Pregnant women
• Carers (receiving carer’s allowance or primary carers for elderly/disabled individuals)
• Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• Residents of long-stay care homes or nursing homes

Additionally, frontline social care staff employed by providers without employer-led health schemes, and house-bound patients, may also qualify for a free jab.
