Directions
The vagina is home to many microbes including bacteria and yeast, and together they form the vaginal microbiome. Maintaining the right balance of these microbes is important given they play a protective role in genitourinary health. This test provides a simple way to measure vaginal pH. The vaginal canal should reside at an acidic pH between 3.7- 4.5. An acidic environment helps protect against infections by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria and yeasts.
Please note that vaginal pH can fluctuate due to various factors, including menstruation, sexual activity, or the use of certain hygiene products. An abnormal result does not confirm a specific condition but may be a sign to seek further clinical advice.
