GMP (GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE)
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is an internationally recognised quality assurance system that specifies the requirements for product manufacturing to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. The GMP certification indicates that a company adheres to certain standards that ensure their products have been produced, manufactured and packed to the highest quality. To be eligible for GMP certification, organisations must apply for it from the relevant authorities and demonstrate their compliance with legislation. Hifas Quality System is an exclusive Hifas da Terra system that was elaborated due to the need to combine the advances and latest technologies developed by our R&D department with the strict quality requirements set by our quality department. The ‘Certified Organic Production’ quality seal is an international certification that marks a product or service as having met rigorous standards for organic production. To earn the seal, companies must be certified by an accredited third-party certifying body that verifies their standards for producing organic products. This includes adhering to rules for organic production methods, soil quality, pest control, and prohibited substances. Companies must submit documents, maintain records, and participate in an on-site inspection to demonstrate their commitment to organic production. Companies that successfully meet the certification standards are granted the Certified Organic Production quality seal.

CERTIFIED RAW
The ‘RAW’ quality seal means that the product has been dried in natural conditions, such as in the sun, as opposed to being freeze dried or by using heat. This can ensure the product is of the highest quality, with its natural nutrients, bioactive compounds, and enzymes still intact. Many food producers are choosing to use natural methods of drying for their products to ensure the highest quality and safety. This seal is awarded to businesses which demonstrate excellence in all areas involving customer service, product quality and product safety. To gain this seal, businesses must pass rigorous assessments and inspections by QA, which monitor how the business operates across the whole spectrum of customer service, product quality and product safety.

VEGAN QUALITY SEAL
The Vegan Quality Seal is a non-profit certification program that helps certify products and services as vegan. To get the seal, companies must meet certain criteria as set out by the Vegan Quality Seal Board. These criteria include a commitment to ethical production, the exclusive use of non-animal ingredients, a commitment to a vegan lifestyle, and the absence of any animal testing. Companies must also demonstrate to the board that their products or services are free from animal exploitation or cruelty.

SUITABLE FOR LACTOSE INTOLERANCE
The ‘suitable for lactose intolerance’ quality seal is a certification that is given to food products that have been made with ingredients that are suitable for those with lactose intolerance—the inability to digest a type of sugar found in dairy products. Companies must submit their food products for testing to receive this certification. The tests they must pass include an analysis of the total lactose content of the product, as well as meeting strict requirements for the quantity of lactose that it contains. Companies must also provide verification that the ingredients used in their products are free of cross-contamination with other products that contain lactose during processing. Once they have passed the requirements, the companies will then receive the quality seal, which can then be used to market their products as being suitable for those with lactose intolerance.

SUITABLE FOR COELIACS
The ‘suitable for coeliacs’ quality seal is a quality assurance mark awarded by Associación Española de Celiacos (AEC) to food products that meet specific standards set by the organisation. The standards are designed to ensure the safety of consumption by individuals with coeliac disease and non-coeliac gluten sensitivity. To be eligible for the quality seal, products must contain less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten and have been endorsed by a panel of experts made up of scientists and nutritionists. Additionally, products must be manufactured in an environment that ensures appropriate control of contamination, and the packing of the product must be visible to guarantee that our products stay in the appropriate place throughout the entire production, transport and sale process. Companies that wish to obtain the quality seal must submit a special application form and provide evidence that their products meet all the required standards in order for approval.

PLANT BASED CAPSULE
The 100% Plant Based Capsule quality seal is a symbol of assurance that a product is certified to contain only plant-based ingredients and never contain animal sources of gelatine. It is awarded by V-Label, an international quality association that is dedicated to providing safety and assurance to consumers of plant-based products. Companies must obtain certification from V-Label to use the seal on their products. This certification includes verifying the company’s ingredients, processes, and labelling. Once the certification is obtained, V-Label grants the company the right to use the 100% Plant Based Capsule quality seal on their products.
